Kiss Sugar Cookies

Kiss Sugar Cookies are soft, buttery, and delightfully sweet cookies with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Each cookie is topped with a creamy chocolate kiss, adding a rich chocolatey finish to every bite. They’re simple to make, beautifully festive, and perfect for holidays, parties, cookie exchanges, or an everyday sweet treat.

Ingredients :

- 48 chocolate Kisses, of the flavor of your choice
- ½ cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Red or green sugar crystals

Directions :

1. Preheat oven to 350°F, and place the oven rack in the middle position.

2. Unwrap the chocolate kisses and set aside.

3. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar on high speed until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. Add the sugar, vanilla and egg, and beat until well mixed.

5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until well mixed.

6. Add gradually the flour mix with the butter mixture. Add the milk. Beat until the cookie dough is light and smooth.

7. Place colored sugar crystal in a shallow dish.

8. Form 1” balls with the palm of your hands. Drop the formed cookie balls in the colored sugar and cover it with the sugar.

9. Place the prepared cookie on an ungreased cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

10. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or till the cookies edges become golden brown.

11. Remove from oven. Let cool for a few minutes.

12. Place a candy in the middle of each cookie.

13. Place the cookies on a wired rack with a spatula. Allow to cool down completely, about 20-30 minutes.
